“The Memory Portrait Project is a unique initiative in which artists create portraits for those living in challenging situations around the world. Because those who have been abandoned, neglected, abused, or orphaned usually have few personal keepsakes, the purpose of the portraits is to provide them with a special memory of their childhood and to help honor their heritage and identity.” More about the project >
“Mandira” By Artist Amy Lehr Miller
Mandira is 8 years old and lives in a small village near Kathmandu, Nepal. Mandira was separated from her mother when she was 1 years old. Her father re-married and she now lives with her grandmother who works as a fruit seller. The father unfortunately doesn’t look after the expenses of Mandira’s family. Mandira is a very studious and hard working girl and a very loving child. She is very enthusiastic with extra-curricular activities.
Each artist’s goal is to raise $250 USD or 1 year’s education for their child.
Please help us support Mandira and her educational expenses.
